Chief Strategy Officer
Pete works closely with iMentor’s leadership team to develop and execute strategies that strengthen iMentor’s impact and support the organization’s growth. Pete also leads the development and execution of iMentor’s policy and advocacy strategy. He first worked with iMentor as a consultant to design the organization’s multi-site Operating Model. Prior to joining iMentor, Pete was Chief Operating Officer at the National Center on Time & Learning, an Education Reform nonprofit dedicated to expanding learning time in urban schools. Before joining NCTL, Pete spent six years at City Year, a national AmeriCorps program focused on keeping students on track to graduate from high school. As a Regional Vice President at City Year, Pete oversaw and worked closely with City Year sites to maximize impact, ensure financial health, and develop and implement local growth plans. Previously, Pete was Managing Director for Pacific Community Ventures, an organization that invests resources and capital in small businesses operating in low-income communities in California. Earlier in his career, Pete worked at the national office of the Breakthrough Collaborative, as a consultant for CSC Index, and served as a City Year corps member in Boston. Pete received an MBA from Harvard Business School, and an MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Pete chairs the Massachusetts Advisory Board of uAspire.
