Managing Director of Organizational Learning & Impact

As iMentor's Managing Director of Organizational Learning & Impact, Jim serves two primary functions: 1) Ensuring the highest quality measurement, analysis, and articulation of iMentor’s impact on students, mentors, schools, and communities for both internal and external audiences; and 2) Developing, revising, and stewarding adoption of the principles, processes, and structures of what it means to be a learning organization. Jim facilitates organization-wide discussions on the use of data to drive decision making and action in order to work as efficiently together as possible as well as have the highest quality impact on our students, mentors, schools, and communities. Jim has worked in the positive youth development research and evaluation sector for over 10 years. Most recently, prior to his role at iMentor, Jim was a Senior Research and Evaluation Associate at the Center for Advanced Study in Education at the CUNY Graduate Center. Jim has also held positions in a variety of research, practice, and policy institutions devoted to improving the lives of young people. Jim received his B.A. in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from Fordham University. Jim lives in Long Island, NY with his wife and 3 children.
