Managing Director of Research & Evaluation
As iMentor's Managing Director of Research & Evaluation, Jim's primary responsibilities include identifying and measuring core components of the iMentor model and evaluating the effectiveness of the program at reaching targeted outcomes for low-income students and their mentors. Jim designs, conducts, and analyzes results from annual program evaluations, communicates iMentor's impact to internal and external stakeholders, facilitates organizational use of data to foster learning and improve programs, and supports the research and evaluation work of iMentor Partner Programs. Previously, Jim served as a senior research associate at the CUNY Graduate Center’s Center for Advanced Study in Education (CASE). Jim received his B.A. in psychology with a minor in civic and community engagement from Pennsylvania State University. He earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology from Fordham University.
