Charisse M. Williams

Managing Director of New Site Development

Chicago native Charisse M. Williams has spent her entire nonprofit career working to advance causes related to youth, education and social justice. She developed her passion for college access when she moved to Atlanta in 2007 to become founding Director of Posse Atlanta. In Atlanta she also worked at the Woodruff Arts Center as President of Young Audiences.  Immediately before joining the team at iMentor, she ran her own nonprofit consulting practice, Charisse M. Williams Consulting, to help strengthen nonprofits and the people who work for them, so we can change the world.

Prior to moving to Atlanta, Charisse lived in Washington, DC, where she served as Program Officer at the Public Welfare Foundation overseeing its criminal justice and youth portfolios. When not working, she can be found teaching yoga, running, biking, hearing live jazz, photographing random cityscapes or hanging out with her dog, Luna.

Charisse earned her Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
