Arri Shelton-Edwards has 15+ years as a youth advocate and non-profit leader. Before joining the team, Arri spent 8 years helping lead the college access and persistence work at KIPP NYC. During that time, she was one of the key points of contact for iMentor when KIPP high school was an iMentor partner. Arri’s most recent role at KIPP was leading the work of KIPP to College Plus, in which the over 300 KIPP graduates are supported in their post-secondary years by one of 65 college advisors, achieving persistence rates of over 90%. Previously, she helped create and lead the college counseling office at KIPP’s NYC College Prep. Before KIPP, she was the Director of Jeter’s Leaders Program, the youth development foundation set up by Derek Jeter. Arri has a Masters in Educational Psychology from NYU and received her Bachelors in Child Development from Spelman College.
