School Site Visit at Academy for Software Engineering

We are extending a personal invitation to a special site visit at the Academy for Software Engineering. This is a wonderful opportunity to see our program in action, hear from the school’s principal about iMentor’s impact, and meet some of our incredible mentor-mentee pairs.

iMentor’s mission is to build mentoring relationships that empower students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions.

There are four core components of our program that drive our impact each year:

We partner with Title I public high schools where the majority of students are low-income students, students of color, and first-generation college students.

We match every student in each grade-level we serve in one-to-one, 3-4 year mentoring relationships with a college-educated mentor. After these initial commitments, every pair has the option to continue their match through college completion.

We support pairs through a college and career success curriculum that is structured around weekly online communication and monthly in-person meetings, and provide them with individualized case management from trained counselors (iMentor Program Managers). All online communication takes place through iMentor’s secure and proprietary technology platform, which provides content to the pairs.

We rigorously evaluate our program implementation and impact to ensure strong program outcomes.
