Postcards from PSP: Yokairy

Our “postcards” from students in iMentor’s Post-Secondary Program (PSP) series continues!

This week, meet Yokairy:

Last year I graduated from Marble Hill High School for International Studies in NYC. Currently, I’m a first-year student John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York to study Criminal Justice. After I graduate, I plan on pursuing a career in law enforcement because I want to change government systems to help create a more just environment for my younger sister and future generations both in America and in my home country the Dominican Republic.

Every month, we will hear from several students about how they are faring on their path after high school. For more about the PSP students, follow #TheFirst on our social media channels.
