Postcards from PSP: Adams

Our “postcards” from students in iMentor’s Post-Secondary Program (PSP) series continues!

This week, meet Adams:

I’m Adams, and I’m currently attending SUNY Canton in New York, where I’m studying Mechanical Engineering. I chose SUNY Canton because of its hands-on approach to education. At SUNY Canton, I get to build things in my Machining Processes labs that I’m learning about in class, and I feel like that’s not possible at a lot of other schools.

In addition to my course work, I am an active member of the Golden Knight Battalion Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Program, hosted by Clarkson University. In the future, I plan on becoming a Commissioned Officer in the United States Army, hopefully branching into Military Police or engineering leadership.

Every month, we will hear from several students about how they are faring on their path after high school. For more about the PSP students, follow #TheFirst on our social media channels.
