Meet the “Celebrity” Mentor at iMentor Chicago

Healthy and vibrant communities are possible because of people. People who live, work, play, volunteer and care for one another so that everyone can thrive. This is true for big and small communities, urban and rural, and it's been true for farming communities for centuries.

That's why the farm families of Cabot Creamery have been honoring community volunteers for years through programs like the Cabot Community Celebrity Cruise.

iMentor is proud to announce that Chicago mentor John Falzone has been selected as a 2019 Cabot Community Celebrity—someone making a difference in our the community.

John and his mentee Andrew, a student at Chicago Military Academy in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood, have been working together over the last year and a half as Andrew navigates the path to college.

As a Chicago Public School alum himself, John understands both the challenges and opportunities that Chicago students face. He's also a super funny, charismatic, proactive and organized guy and has helped Andrew gain more confidence in networking. Together, they have worked on building a college list, writing college applications and essays, and pursuing scholarships.

As iMentor Chicago's Cabot Community Celebrity, John will have the opportunity to network with and learn from volunteers from across the country while enjoying a seven-night cruise.

John, we're so proud of you and grateful to call you an iMentor Chicago mentor!
