Introducing iMentor Chicago

iMentor Chicago’s first cohort of 207 students from North-Grand High School speak about their aspirations, how their mentors are helping them craft college goals, and ways they provide necessary support to begin the college journey. One student, Denisse, notes, “The way I think about college is much different now. I used to think there was no way I could do it. My mentor actually changed my mind. I now know there are scholarships and financial aid, and there is always going to be an opportunity for you as long as you go for it.”

The iMentor model leverages the power of long-term, personal relationships to help students succeed. Hear directly from mentors why iMentor Chicago is making a difference in the lives of Chicago high school students. As Octavia, a mentor, notes, “I feel that we as adults need to help these kids become better people than we are. I feel that with a little guidance they will be able to run our world.” We can’t wait to see what happens when these North-Grand students graduate in 2017. Join us and commit to making an impactful change in a Chicago student’s college journey today.
