On Julian Robertson's Passing: His Legacy Lives On

We are saddened by the passing of our beloved board member, Julian Robertson. He was a mentor to many, including our founder, John Griffin, who often credited him as the inspiration for creating a mentoring organization and showing him the potential for mentors to change lives.

Julian was a stalwart of our cause since its inception in 1999 and made contributions of $18.4M+ to our work. The impact that his contributions have made on the lives of countless students is insurmountable. More than two decades later, iMentor would not be where we are without his unwavering support. During our 15th Anniversary Champions Dinner in 2015, we honored Julian as our “master mentor” for his commitment to iMentor and recognized the impact he’s had on the personal and philanthropic success of so many individuals. That year, our founder launched the Julian Robertson Mentoring Fund to recognize the magnitude of his impact on iMentor's success.

His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.
