We’re excited to announce that our very own CEO, Mike O’Brien, has been named to Crain’s New York Business’s 40 Under 40 list! Mike joins this year’s class of rising stars who are working to improve the lives of New Yorkers in various ways. For more than three decades Crain’s has been celebrating accomplished New York City-based business professionals, who like Mike, have achieved great success in their careers and demonstrated community leadership.
Once a high school English teacher in East New York, Mike has dedicated his career to helping students reach their highest potential. Mike’s belief in the power of relationships has helped to transform tens of thousands of lives over the past 14 years through his work at iMentor. Since 2007, he has served as our CEO and led us in the fight to rebalance the odds that stand between our student’s dreams and reality.
